Most schools choose not to play a game the week after traveling to Hawaii. Not Lamar. Good thing, too.

The upcoming game Saturday against Langston is one the Cardinals need. Consider it a get-well game, a chance to feel better about things after the 54-2 loss at Hawaii.

Southland Conference play begins in less than two weeks. The last thing Lamar needs is to spend two weeks lamenting another lopsided loss to a Bowl Subdivision school.

I can't find anything good that came from either blowout losses to FBS opponents. It just showed the fans we are not near being ready to play in those leagues. We will lose fans with those kind of defeats.
