In the I don't believe it category: Vonn Miller is under an arrest warrent for failure to appear in court after a traffic fine in California last summer. 2012 was a bad year for Vonn Miller and 2013 ain't much better.

Ndomakong Suh is another case. After having a $100K fine levied on him for an illegal low hit in the Vikings game last weekend Suh, being his usual meat head self, said "I'm not changing the way I play." He does this every time. It's like he and former Pittsburgh LB James Harrison read from the same script. Neither expresses remorse over the damage they do to their teams or others by behaving badly. Everyone expected Suh to be suspended for this latest incident and maybe that's the only thing to make an impression on him.

Jamaal Charles tweeked his quad during the Chiefs win over the Jaguars Sunday. He returned to the game after the injury for only one play and then he went out for the rest of the game. Head Coach Andy Reid said yesterday he expects Charles to play Sunday against the Cowboys.

Tampa Bay seems to have a full blown crisis on their hands. When team captains were elected QB Josh Freeman wasn't picked--supposedly. It seems that Freeman isn't on head coach Greg Schiano's + list and the team is accusing Schiano of rigging the vote for team captains. ESPN is reporting that Freeman is not Schiano's guy and Schiano doesn't like Freeman and the players are thinking that Schiano manipulated the vote to exclude Freeman from being a captain even though he was a captain in 2012. Would this have anything to do with the Bucs poor showing against the Jets last week? You have to wonder.

The Jets Mark Sanchez has torn labrum in his shoulder. For now he will try to just rehab the shoulder to avoid surgery. As it is, the Sanchez era seems over in NY and it is now Geno Smith's team. Smith wasn't all that against the Tampa Bay Bucs but he, and the Jets, did win the game. The going should be much harder in New England this week.

Hey, I like the colors! As for the Colts RB situation the Colts are listing Donald Brown as the backup to Ahmad Bradshaw. Brown is a good player who hasn't been able to stay healthy. Don't count out the 3rd string guy Kerwynn Williams the rookie seventh round pick out of Utah State. Williams was named on The NFL Draft Reports Super Sleeper Team as the all-purpose back (The team consists of the most underrated player in the nation at each position). He also received honorable mention All-American honors from Sports Illustrated. Williams is fine all purpose back and at 5'8" and 198 lbs he's that Darren Sproles type who does so well as a third down back. Williams wasn't active in Week 1. If he can be trusted as a blocker in passing situations Williams could emerge as the third down back. If not he won't see the field much.

Also, have you noticed there is a new face on the Colts WR corps? That's right, Darrius Heyward-Bey is a Colt and he is actually ahead of T Y Hilton on the Colts depth chart. Last week against the Raiders Heyward-Bey tied for second on the team with 3 catches for 33 yards. He tied with Hilton whose 3 grabs only went for 20 yards. This is a sleeper here that you may want to keep on your watch list in your fantasy leagues.


Larry Fitzgerald is being listed as questionable for this week's game against the Lions. He's may be listed as questionable but NFL.com reports he will play and the Cards will need him against the Lions at home in Phoenix.

Here's some things we learned today in the NFL........

The Eagles offense is a fantasy football player's dream. Their defense, not so much. Or is it that San Diego isn't as bad as we all thought they were?

The Cowboys can't seem to win more than one game in a row. Can you say 8-8?

The Broncos, even without Champ Bailey and Vonn Miller are just bad to the bone. Peyton Manning even had a bit of an off day and he and his Broncos beat the Giants into submission in their house.

The Jaguars suck. They may not win a game. If you're in a survivor league, pick whoever is playing the Jags and you have a great chance of winning until their bye-week.

The Cardinals are a lot better with Carson Palmer. He is just the God-send Larry Fitzgerald was hoping for this past offseason. Seattle and San Fran better watch out because the Cards defense has BEEN good. The Cards came back and beat the Lions this afternoon 25-21 which make us ask, Is Detroit all that good or what?

The 49ers have a good defense and they held up pretty well against the Packers last week before they ended up beating them in the end. Now, Frisco is getting a dose of Seattle's home cooking and after scoring 34 points against the Packer they have put up a big fat goose egg tonight so far in the 3rd quarter.

Whatever we thought about Green Bay in Week 1 we have to rethink some of that. Aaron Rodgers threw for 462 yards and 4 TDs is stomping a mudhole in the Washington Redskins. What one of the commentators said today may be true and bode ill for the 'Skins going forward. He said without the read-option RGIII is not that great in the pocket and the Redskins won't run the read-option to protect RGIII. If true, this will not be good for the Redskins 2013 hopes to return to the playoffs.

Questions arise after Houston's win. Why is Houston struggling so bad to win their games? And, was everyone wrong about how good the Titans are? Houston gutted out another win but darned it I know how.

Indianapolis should be better than they are, shouldn't they? Or maybe Miami should not be discounted. Since taking over last year Miami coach Joe Philbin has brought a toughness to the Dolphins and he hasn't cared who he cut or traded as long as the players he has buy into his program. Tomorrow, I'm picking up K Caleb Sturgis for my fantasy team.

Eddie Royal is back! He has five touchdowns on the year somehow. Philip Rivers loves throwing to him, so pick him up immediately.


Kendall Wright, WR, Titans
Kendall Wright may have been dropped in your league. If so, add him. He's healthy again, and with Kenny Britt struggling, he'll continue to become a bigger part of the offense. He caught seven balls for 54 yards and a touchdown against Houston's tough defense.


James Starks, RB, Packers
James Starks rushed for 132 yards, but Washington's defense is a disgrace. Starks isn't that talented, and he'll be Eddie Lacy's backup again once the rookie returns for his concussion. Still, Starks is worth adding as a handcuff for Lacy owners.


Marlon Brown, WR, Ravens
Marlon Brown is worth a look. He caught four balls for 45 yards and a touchdown against the Browns. He's the clear-cut starter across from Torrey Smith.


Bilal Powell, RB, Jets
Bilal Powell a fantasy sleeper this summer, but if no one picked him up, you might want to consider him. He's splitting carries evenly with Chris Ivory, but he's getting the receptions and the goal-line carries.

Kubiak in his press conference said he is going to try to get more touches for Tate in the coming weeks. Tate is hot right now and is out producing Foster in the ground game.This bodes well for foster owners as he is a solid RB2 and will only get better. He is hot right now and he is at an all time value. I would not sell just yet there is still time to let the value rise.

There is breaking news right now that Rod Chudzinski, Cleveland Browns head coach, has announced that Brian Hoyer will be the starting QB for the Brown this week against the Vikings in Minnesota. Hoyer is starting because Brandon Weeden has an injured thumb. It's a little surprising that Hoyer is starting over veteran Jason Campbell who is actually listed ahead of Hoyer on the Browns web site depth chart. Hoyer is a 5 year vet who originally came into the league with the Patriots in 2009. He's played in a total of 15 games with one start. Campbell, on the other hand has 71 starts in his 8+ years in the league.

Kenny Britt is doing his best WR diva by pouting out loud for being benched for his lackluster play last Sunday against the Texans and for his lackluster practice habits. Comparing his situation with that of ex-Titans TE Jared Cook Britt is saying that his days are numbered in Tennessee. What a deuche although, Tennessee doesn't have a very imaginative offense under head coach Mike Munchak. Since Munchak took over for Jeff Fisher a couple of seasons ago the best player on his team, Chirs Johnson, has not had his best years. That doesn't excuse Britt for taking plays off, not blocking for his teammates, ill-timed penalties.

Another WR who is expressing his displeasure over the state of his team is the Steelers Antonio Brown. The Steelers offense has not yet shown up in 2013. They have only scored a total of 19 points so far and Brown is upset about his lack of targets. As a matter of fact, during Monday night's loss to Cincinnati, Brown confronted Steelers OC Todd Haley about the lack of plays called for him. The two were engaged in a heated exchange on the sideline in the second half of the game. Both were still mad on Tuesday. This season is the first time in 11 years that the Steelers have begun the season 0-2.

The Texans head coach, Gary Kubiak, said in a conference call with the media today that he expects WR Andre Johnson to be "ready to play" this Sunday vs the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore. Johnson is leading the NFL is receptions after the first two weeks of the season will be needed against a so-so Ravens defense that is lucky to be 1-1 so far. BTW, Bernanrd Pollard whose hit on Johnson in the 4th quarter of Sunday's game vs Tennessee caused Johnson's concussion that forced him out of the game has been fined $42K for the hit.
