after an embarrassing loss at Arizona State. That'll be another attractive job that will attract some solid candidates. This off season will be interesting with some of the openings that will be available.

It wasn't an embarrassing lose, ASU is just better. ASU has a legit chance of winning the south division of the Pac 12 this year. Todd Graham as ASU has completely turned that program around after Erickson ran it into the ground.

USC allowing 62 points to anyone and starting 0-2 in conference is embarrassing by there standards.

Firing Kiffin was necessary maybe but to fire the guy at the airport on the way home from the game seemed pretty cold hearted. I've never heard of anyone fired like that. He must have pissed off the alumni or Pat Haden or all the above and it certainly speaks to the expectations they have for their football program and the fact Kiffin wasn't getting it done.

It may be the new way. Mike Sherman was told he was being replaced as A&M head coach over his cell phone as he was pulling into a potential recruit's driveway, and he found out after his players and his family. Maybe USC was at least trying to get ahead of the rumor machine.

Don't know when the guy who did the Sherman firing, Bill Byrne, knew of his own termination, but the public found out that his own contract would not be renewed during an SEC media days press conference.
