The City of Edinburg is in the process of transferring ownership of the 4,000 seat Edinburg Stadium (baseball) to the University of Texas System. It's a win-win. The city was losing money on the stadium, but was instrumental in supporting a new medical school at the university. They are expecting more jobs and business as a result of the medical school.
