AUDIO: James Gamble Basketball Classic (HJ HAWKS), December 29-31

The HJ Hawks (14-3) on the season will take on the Houston Kashmere in the first round of the James Gamble Classic. HJ is making their first appearance in the Gamble, which is hosted at Port Arthur Memorial. All games will be played at Memorial High School. Broadcast will begin at approximately 2:55pm depending upon completion time of previous tournament games. HJ is playing their fist game in 10 days due to the Christmas holidays. HJ's last game was a win at Kountze 68-56. The Gamble will be the final tune up for district play, which begins Friday, January 2nd as the Hawks host the WOS Mustangs. HJ defeated Houston Kashmere 68-62 to advance to the semi-finals of the 22nd annual James Gamble Classic. HJ will take on host Port Arthur Memorial in the semi-finals at 4:30pm on Tuesday.

HJ lost to host Port Arthur Memorial 59-49 in the semi-final round of the 22nd Annual James Gamble Holiday Classic. The Hawks will play Beaumont West Brook at 4:30pm today in the 3rd place game.

HJ lost to Beaumont West Brook 70-64 in the 3rd place game of the 22nd Annual James Gamble Classic. Hawks went 1-2 in the tourney with a win over Houston Kashmere, and losses to PA Memorial and Beaumont West Brook. Dylan Mays garnered All-Tournament honors for the Hawks. HJ will now begin district play Friday night as they host WOS in the Hawks Nest!!!
