The Lamar Lady Cardinals look to maintain at least a share of the Southland Conference lead when they host Stephen F. Austin at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Montagne Center.

Lamar (8-9 overall, 5-1 Southland) is tied with Northwestern State for the top spot in the standings. Stephen F. Austin (11-5, 4-1) is just a half-game behind the Lady Cardinals and Lady Demons.

This will be a big game for both teams to keep pace with Northwestern State who won their game last night.

Slow start and great comeback...just too late. The team was down 21 points at one time in the first half and closed enough to take the game if the shots had fallen right in the end. (Wish we had saved some of those three's from the Northwestern State game. :))

Houston Baptist is up next @ 4:00 pm tomorrow (Saturday) at Sharp Gymnasium. I'm hoping to catch both of the Saturday games...HBU is right around 20 miles from the house.

The newly named Student Section 'THE FLOCK Section' was a BIG HIT with the fans and based on Facebook chatter it was a HIT with the students. It is great to see them there and excited to be at the game and want to come back Monday night.
