The HJ Hawks hit the road for a pivotal game against the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears at the Bear Cave on Tuesday night. HJ(24-6, 9-1) on the season find themselves just one and a half games ahead of the Bears, and only one game behind Silsbee for 1st place. HJ defeated LC-M 37-36 last month at the Hawks Nest. HJ comes in after defeating Bridge City 67-49 on Friday night. LC-M(12-16, 6-3) comes in after falling to Silsbee 79-39 on Friday night. With the win the Hawks would finish no worse than 2nd in District 24-4A, and have a chance for a T-1st place if they could defeat Silsbee on Friday night.
