coachacola
LU received funding for the construction of a much-needed science and technology facility. The facility will greatly enhance the university’s instruction and research capabilities. The $60 million major construction project will be funded through State issued tuition revenue bonds. After construction, the existing Hayes Biology Building will undergo renovation and be repurposed. http://www.lamar.edu/news-and-events/news/2015/06/legislative-session-boosts-lu-budget,-science-technology-building-approved-.html

cardambassador
I'd been hoping this would happen for a long time. Not only did we get this much needed new building but general funding increased dramatically as well. This was a huge legislative victory for the Lamar. Hoping we can build on all this investment.
