Ladies win the first game for their 22nd win of the year. Ladies also secure the 2nd seed for the ladies tourney. Congratulations Lady Cards.
Men jump out to an early lead on near perfect shooting. Approaching the 5 minute mark of the first half, with the Cards up by 17 at 36-19.
First half ends with Lamar up by 17 at 52-35. Cards shoot 65% from the field for the first half and are out rebounding the Cowboys by 10. Weisbrod has 19 points in the first half and 7 rebounds.
Lamar comes out asleep in the 2nd half and as at the mid point of the 2nd half the Cards are only up by four at 62-58.
Cards wake up enough to hold on and win 90-83. Cards will play SELA in first round of SLC Tourney Wednesday.
Colton Weisbrod played his best game of the season (imho). Hit several outside shots and McNeese had no answer for him on the inside. McNeese put a player on him and ultimately fouled out trying to slow Colton down. There were a few bizarre calls by the officials, but this is the SLC in Louisiana.
