Former Lamar QB Jeremy Johnson is now at Cougar High (sorry, can't help my self) playing the position of cornerback. JJ is listed on two deep.
Hope everything goes well for the young man.

Funny isn't defensive back or receiver what West Virginia wanted him to do.

I hope it goes well for him also. How long was he at Blinn and did he play QB there? Wish he would have stayed at LU!!

Why? The kid was a quitter.
Sam Houston -- Beating Stephen F. Austin since 1836
I for one am glad he is no longer @ LU. He was a great athlete but it is proven he is a quitter.. .Here is his list of colleges so far and he is only a RS Junior. If he doesn't get what he wants @ U of H will he move again??
1) Vest Virginia
2) Lamar
3) Blinn
4) U of H
LU gets Rex Dausin and Mark Roberts from UH and Jeremy Johnson goes to UH. If that was a trade then I think LU got the better end of that deal.

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it's much more serious than that.

Looked up the 2012 Blinn stats. Jeremy Johnson was a receiver. Played in 7 games, 9 receptions, 134 total yards. ALso had some punt and kickoff returns. Didn't see any QB stats for him.

Correct. JJ hurt his knee during the season.
He had to make transfer from what I was told if he wanted two more years at a DI school. He chose UH.

Its actually more complex than that.
West Virginia sends JJ to LU, UH sends Roberts and Dausin to LU for John and sends Sims to West Virginia. So in the end WVU got the best end of the deal.
That being said, he would never see time here as a qb (we have way too much depth) either and his best chance at the NFL is as a DB. Hopefully he makes an impact for us.
I wish JJ had been willing to switch positions here and work at it. He could've made an impact.

Would never fault JJ for wanting to be a college QB. But I always said that if he really wanted to make it to the pros, he would need to switch positions (WR, DB) asap.
I really hope it is not too late for him. Good kid.
