The Cardinals lost the first game last night 2-5 after the Broncs had a five run rally in the eighth inning. They play again at 2:00 pm today and again at noon tomorrow. The loss leaves the Cardinals with a 6-3 record for the start of the season. http://www.lamarcardinals.com/sports/m-basebl/spec-rel/022515aab.html The softball team is playing in Austin this weekend at the Texas Invitational. Games are broadcast on the Longhorn Network and ESPN3 The Lady Cardinals won the first two games defeating Dartmouth 6-2 and Texas Southern 13-1 improving the team's record to 5-8. Today's first game against Dartmouth started at noon today. The game is currently in the top of the 5th inning with the score tied @ 4-4. Watched this game on the Longhorn Network. This is a fun team to watch. I hope we have a lot of folks turn out for the stadium opener on March 6th. The Cardinals had led 8-4 going into the bottom of the 6th until the bottom dropped out with the Broncs scoring 7 in the 6th.
