    Lamar Men versus Howard-Payne

LU looks much better in the first half this afternoon. Cards are up by thirty at the half 57-27. Interestingly Price started a bigger team today with Atwood starting in place of Noel or Garth. Starting line up was Nzeakor, Weisbrod, Atwood, Bosha and Frenchwood. Much better energy by the Cards. The only negative that I've noticed is that LU is not hitting the three pointers today. Cards are shooting 49% from the field but only 16% from three point land on 2 of 13 shooting.

Lamar did not attempt as many outside shots as usual. 2nd half intensity will be interesting to see.

Nine minutes left and LU is at the 90 point level. LU is up by fifty and are playing a lot of reserves at this point.

Final score LU 112 - HP 56. Next game next Sunday afternoon at Southern Illinois. Next four games are on the road and all are against comparable talent.

They basically scored at will and the bench got into the action. Looking forward to some more competitive road games coming up.

It's good to know that Lamar has a nationally ranked player in steals. Bosha is ranked #7 in the nation. He has very good anticipation /smartness on the defensive side. Congrats Bosha.

Lamar's overall defense is much better compared to previous years. That's one of the reasons they are winning this year.
