HBU does a good job of moving the ball deep into Lamar territory before the HBU receiver bobbles the potential reception pass right into a Lamar defenders hands that is returned to the HBU 15 sets up a Lamar td pass to Chase Robinson for a 14-0 lead for Lamar at the 7:30 mark of the first quarter. Lamar offense has done nothing in the 2nd quarter with Colbert in as quarterback and after stopping HBU. HBU gets a punt to settle at the Lamar 2 yard line. Two plays later and HBU tackles Banks in the endzone for a safety to close to with in five points and getting the ball back on the kickoff from Lamar following the safety.

Is Colbert playing because it's Senior Day and HBU sucks? I hope a winning season is more important than playing favorites.

The energy of the entire offense dropped after putting Colbert in... and he's playing exactly like he did before he got hurt. Inconsistent at best. Hoy needs to be the guy. Colbert may have been the previous starter but there's ZERO chance that we would be anywhere close to sniffing a conference championship had he not gotten hurt and Hoy was able to bring his energy and playing style to our offense.

Other SLC games today:

Nicholls (5-2) vs SFA (2-5)

IWU (5-2) at UCA (4-3)

McNeese (5-2) at NW State (2-5)

SHSU (4-3) at ACU (4-3)

If all the home teams win today then that'll have LU, Nicholls, IWU, UCA, McNeese, and ACU all tied for first at 5-3!!

Nicholls is beating SFA 37-7.

IWU up on UCA 30-14.

ACU beating SHSU 17-10.

I believe Hoy is definately the better qb compared to Colbert, but Wanza may be the real key as Lamar justs moves the ball much better when he is the running back. He is simialar to Harrington in speed and strength. Walker is a strong straight ahead runner but the threat of Wanza's speed opens it up for Hoy and Colbert both.
