2024 Baseball Starts Today

Cards open the 24 baseball season with three games hosted by South Alabama. Cards open at noon today against Southern Indiana. Hopefully the Cards will set a positive tone for the season as none of the teams involved are from major conferences. Conference season starts in about a month and the schedule appears to have a lot of opportunity for wins.

Looks like a rain delay. Don't know what the overall schedule looks like, but appears they have several hours of rain ahead of them.

4:20 PM middle of the first and USI got a run in the top of the inning.

Lamar gave up one run in the first and one run in the third before scoring four in the fifth and then hanging on for a 4-2 win in the season opener against Southern Indiana.

Cards reurn to action tomorrow at 6:30 PM against host South Alabama

Cards fall against South Alabama 7-1

Cards bats rebound from a down evening against South Alabama to pound North Alabama 9-1 to close out the weekend.

LU beats the two crappy teams and loses to the good team. Not a bad start to the season.
